HOW MANY SUBJECTS SHOULD I TAKE AND AT WHAT LEVEL?
For Leaving Certificate your points will be calculated on your best six grades achieved in one sitting of the Leaving Certificate. If you are taking more than one ordinary level paper, such as maths and Irish, and want the option of having six honours subjects for points purposes, you may want to consider an extra subject. For this reason many students take 7 subjects.
Taking eight Leaving Certificate subjects is a major undertaking. An extra subject will detract from the time you have to work on your other subjects.
WHAT ARE MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?
