The Gaeilge Student Residency Scheme is organised by Oifig na Gaeilge, DIT in order to develop and support the Institute’s Irish language speaking community and to promote the use of Irish amongst DIT’s student population.
DIT is offering scholarships to students with Irish to share apartment accommodation through the medium of Irish during the academic year in Dublin city centre.
Irish will be the spoken language in the residence. Applicants will have to organise events and actively promote and encourage the use of Irish on campus and amongst DIT’s student community.
Normal rental costs will apply for the accommodation but students will receive scholarships to help with the cost of the accommodation, subject to their fulfilling the conditions of the scheme.
Current DIT students as well as students who will begin study in DIT for the first time in September 2014 from any programme in DIT are invited to apply.
Please complete the Scéim Chónaithe 2014/15 Application Form and return by post to Oifig na Gaeilge, DIT (see contact details below).
Successful students for DIT’s Scéim Chónaithe 2014/15 will be chosen on receipt of the application form and having completed an interview in DIT.
